Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of Experian's flagship Android native application.
- Implement new features and enhance existing ones based on our requirements.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Ensure code quality through automated testing and continuous integration.
- Work with cross-functional teams.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Resolve performance and scalability issues.
- Debug and troubleshoot application issues reported by users or discovered through testing.
- Ensure the application meets Google's design principles and interface guidelines.
- Collaborate with designers to create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Android development trends and technologies.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of code, APIs, and development processes.
- Provide clear technical documentation for future reference.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Android app development.
- Experience building Android applications.
- Proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
- Experience with Android frameworks such as Jetpack Compose and XML.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to backend services.
- Knowledge of Google's design principles and interface guidelines.
- Experience with version control systems like GitHub.
- Proficiency in Android Studio and other development tools.
- Experience with automated testing and continuous integration.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Familiarity with mobile app security best practices.
- Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for Android apps.
