Senior Associate, Finance & Strategy - Product Finance

The Finance & Strategy team accelerates the growth of our business by implementing new opportunities and solutions. We partner with teams across the company to improve the profitability, scalability, and defensibility of our business model. We're looking for people who can model the future, and collaborate to help carry projects from conception through execution. Joining the Product Finance team would mean you would be a part of a growing team in a high-visibility role focused on some of the largest investments across technology at DoorDash.

Responsibilities

• Analyze technology costs that enable deliveries on our platform, spanning across navigation, messaging and fraud.
• Own the forecasting process for technology costs.
• Identify opportunities for operational efficiency as the business continues to grow.
• Partner with leaders across the Product organization in managing headcount and operating expenses for their cost centers.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with partners in finance, strategy, product, and procurement.
• Take ownership of detailed financial models to forecast operations technology spend.
• Develop reports to track budget vs. actuals and provide visibility around areas that are over or under-performing.
• Find ways to automate operational aspects of the financial planning & analysis process.
• Evaluate opportunities to invest in technology and build financial models to support sourcing & procurement in negotiations.

Requirements

• 4+ years of finance experience at a high-growth tech company or investment bank.
• Advanced excel & financial modeling skills.
• Ability to manipulate large data sets and uncover hidden insights.
• Experience working on projects that require cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
