Our CAD Software Development team focuses on developing custom software to support analog and mixed-signal IC design. In this position, you will be responsible for analog design flows, simulation post-processing, design porting between technologies, and pre/post-layout netlisting. You will also develop and maintain methodologies related to revision control and product tape-out. The role involves close collaboration with design and layout teams to streamline workflows and improve productivity. An interest in exploring how AI/ML may be applied to design automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design & build custom software from concept to production
  • Gather tool or flow requirements to understand customer needs
  • Support design porting across process technologies and improve reuse
  • Design, develop, and implement mixed-signal tool applications & deliver analytics
  • Collaborate with team members to quickly integrate new features into the design flow ecosystem
  • Develop and maintain automated QA tests and scripts with high coverage of key use cases to ensure no regressions occur from release to release.
  • Communicate proactively within the team on goals, status, milestones, and blockers.
  • Mentor junior developers and support CAD development practices
  • Develop and maintain an internal IP catalog to facilitate efficient reuse of analog and mixed-signal design components across projects and technology nodes
  • Explore and investigate AI/ML trends relevant to design automation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in software development
  • Strong scripting in python, perl, and SKILL
  • Solid understanding of front-end analog design methodologies
  • Experience with debugging EDA software centered around IC analog design including virtuoso, spectre, and calibre
  • Revision control systems, perforce a plus
  • UNIX
  • Good communication skills and able to work well in a team environment
