About the position

Excel Sports Management is seeking an experienced Senior Coordinator, Brand Marketing to support the work of a key Brand Marketing client, including contributing research, category analysis, strategic thinking, and partnership management expertise across a global, multi-property partnership. This person will deliver meaningful sponsorship landscape research and insights, partnership activation ideas, property knowledge, and will support the overall management of this client’s partnership.

Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day consultation of Excel’s Brand Marketing client’s sponsorship strategy and activation approach
  • Develop appropriate partnership toolkits, trackers, summaries, and other deliverables to aid organization and efficiency around the partnership
  • Facilitate and support the daily client interaction across brand, properties and agency partners to support the sponsorship function and associated programming
  • Conduct research across the sponsorship and business landscape that can inform client’s strategic marketing and sponsorship decisions
  • Proactively track other brands that are investing in similar spaces and share key learnings, unique activations, and opportunities for Excel’s client to consider
  • Work with the internal account team and other integrated Excel functions to develop insights and recommendations around the partnership(s)
  • Plan client status calls which include scheduling, preparing and sending agendas, creating/maintaining status documents, and distributing meeting notes and after-action reports
  • Support the Brand Marketing team by reconciling budgets and providing on-going client updates
  • Support teammates to ensure flawless client-service and a second-to-none agency experience
  • Attend and participate in staff events which may include some nights and weekends
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2-4 years of experience in sponsorship, sports marketing, or other relevant industry experience
  • Sports marketing and/or agency experience supporting day-to-day partnership delivery and client relationships

  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word and the technical/computer skills to create and deliver client presentations
