Senior Director, User Interface/User Experience, Platform

About the position

Salesforce is looking for a Director/Sr. Director of UX to lead the Platform AI AppDev UX design team. This team collaborates closely to solve complex developer experience problems for internal builders as Salesforce navigates the transformation of the public cloud and AI revolution. The role involves delivering innovation that powers the world's #1 most trusted AI CRM and transforming how work gets done with AI-powered Copilots. The position requires a leader who thrives in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment and has a passion for solving problems at scale.

Responsibilities

• Nurture the existing high-functioning UX team via coaching, mentoring, and management (including managing managers)
• Continue to grow the team by recruiting, hiring, and onboarding world-class UX talent
• Contribute to and cultivate an inclusive, diverse, and collaborative Salesforce UX team and environment
• Influence and compellingly communicate the Customer 360 experience vision to a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
• Reinforce a design-led and data-informed culture that leverages the best product, technology and innovative talent
• Build strong partnerships across disciplines, such as Product, Engineering, and Marketing
• Collaborate closely with product owners and user research to create a customer-focused vision for your product areas
• Work with product management and engineering to define product scope and roadmap
• Work with Engineering and QE to deliver high-quality final products
• Evangelize new interface guidelines and design patterns
• Lead your team crafting user-centered designs by considering personas, market segment analysis, customer feedback, site metrics, and usability findings
• Present design work to cross-functional stakeholders and executives for review and feedback

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience designing and delivering products in cross-functional teams from start to finish
• 5+ years of direct management experience
• A strong passion for managing and mentoring designers
• 5+ years of experience as a senior creative individual contributor
• BA/BS or MA/MS in design related field, or equivalent experience
• A portfolio demonstrating experience creating user-centered design solutions
• A systems thinker with experience designing enterprise software
• Experience with design systems and designing for web & mobile device experiences
• An understanding of object models and multi-tenant architecture
• Experience in design thinking methodologies, from research, design, to building tangible outcomes
• Proficiency with a variety of design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch and InVision
• A Portfolio and password must be submitted to be considered for this position
