SENIOR ENGINEER-SOFTWARE TEST&RELEASE

About the position

The person in this position has gained significant work experience to effectively apply their knowledge and deliver results. They demonstrate the ability to analyze and interpret complex problems, adapting existing methods to solve these issues. Regular interaction with interfacing groups and customers for technical issue clarification is expected, along with active participation in important project-related activities. The individual is responsible for identifying key issues and risks, seeking guidance to ensure high-quality deliverables. Continuous enhancement of skills and proficiency in their field of specialization is encouraged, working under limited supervision from the Team Lead or Project Manager.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for design, coding, testing, bug fixing, documentation, and technical support in the assigned area.
• Ensure on-time delivery while adhering to quality and productivity goals.
• Adhere to guidelines and checklists for all deliverable reviews, send status reports to the team lead, and follow relevant organizational processes.
• Collaborate with customers and provide support for customer queries.
• Enhance technical capabilities by attending trainings, self-study, and periodic technical assessments.
• Participate in technical initiatives related to the project and organization, delivering training as per plan and quality.

Requirements

• Engineering graduate, MCA, etc.
• Experience: 2-5 years in relevant field.
• Proficient in 3GPP Radio Access Technologies (RAT) with air interface, network signaling, and Layer 2, Layer 3 protocols of UE & RAN side, also NAS layer from UE and core network.
• Experience in Modem/UE Protocol Stack Testing and interoperability testing with various Network operators.
• Ability to understand network scenarios (signaling & user plane call flow), develop test plans and test cases, and execute those test cases using an automation framework.
• Proficient in automation using PERL/Python/TTCN scripting languages.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with internal and customer-specific platforms on Linux host.
• Thorough understanding of Network vendor tests.
• Familiarity with tools such as QXDM, QCAT, QPST, Prism, Anritsu, and Keysight Test instruments.
• Knowledge of test scripting like RTD (for Anritsu) or equivalent, trace/log collection tools, core dump analysis tools, and flashing tools.
• Scripting languages like Shell scripts, TCL scripts, Python, Perl, C, C++, TTCN.
