About the position

At Anchor, we are reinventing how businesses manage their revenue, freeing them from the burden of billing and collections so they can focus on growth. Backed by top investors including Mosaic General Partnership, Zeev Ventures, Entree Capital, and industry leaders like Amy Banse (Adobe and ON Running), Tien Tzuo (Zuora), and former NBA superstar Andre Iguodala, we are making payments effortless so businesses can focus on scaling instead of chasing invoices. We are looking for a Senior Event Marketing Manager to join our fast-growing team and take our event engine to the next level. Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, this is not a booth booking gig; it is full ownership of strategy, execution, and performance. Our event program is already a proven growth engine, which we aim to scale further and enhance. We do not show up just because the calendar says 'event season.' We do it the Anchor way - creative, unique, unforgettable. We bring ourselves as people first, company second, so attendees remember the humans behind the brand, not just another product pitch. Now we need someone to codify what works, build repeatable processes, and scale a multi-million dollar revenue channel even further. This role isn’t for everyone. We look for people who bring their heart, take ownership, and are comfortable figuring things out. These aren’t buzzwords, it's our code. It's how we work, how we hire, and how we show up. These are the people who thrive at Anchor and the people you’d be working with. If that sounds like you, apply, even if you don't fit 100% into the job description.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage a twelve-month schedule of conferences, tradeshows, virtual experiences, and local activations.
  • Plan, produce, and deliver dozens of events each year, managing speaker preparation, creative requests, and seamless coordination with content and design.
  • Own every timeline, budget, venue, vendor, booth design, swag order, travel plan, and on-site detail to ensure flawless, high-impact experiences.
  • Run regional and local experiences and events that accelerate active deals and deepen relationships.
  • Own a significant event budget and maximize return, negotiate costs end-to-end, and make every dollar count.
  • Capture engagement data across the event tech stack, turn insights into clear recommendations, and share regular impact reports with marketing and sales stakeholders.
  • Document templates, checklists, and runbooks that let the team replicate winning events quickly in any region.
  • Partner with sales, demand generation, product marketing, creative, and customer success to align goals, messaging, and follow-up plans.
  • Set event KPIs, test new ideas, learn from the data, iterate fast, and keep raising the bar on what an Anchor event can achieve.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of event or field marketing experience, preferably in a fast-growing B2B startup targeting the US market.
  • Proven record of turning events into hard revenue, not just brand impressions.
  • Extensive experience scaling an event function to dozens and hundreds of conferences, trade shows, local experiences, and community touchpoints each year.
  • Experience producing a flagship event or annual conference that attracts the right audience and pays for itself through partner or sponsorship support is a strong plus.
  • Expert project manager who keeps every timeline, speaker, vendor, and budget line on track and aligned with event goals.
  • Data-driven marketer who sets clear KPIs, captures clean attribution, and turns insights into smarter plans that grow pipeline and revenue.
  • Disciplined budget steward who negotiates hard, tracks spend, and directs funds to the experiences that deliver the strongest return.
  • Creative storyteller who turns event content into engaging collateral, social snippets, and post-event nurture campaigns.
  • Tech-fluent professional familiar with modern event platforms as well as marketing automation and CRM systems.
  • A natural problem solver who thrives on ambiguity and can turn challenges into opportunities.
  • A doer who takes ownership, moves quickly, and adapts based on real-world insights.
  • Passionate, ambitious, and hungry to generate exponential value for Anchor, our customers, colleagues, and yourself.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Nice-to-haves

  • Entrepreneurial experience is a plus.
