About the position

DoorDash is building a best in class Brand Team. Sitting globally, this team exists to build the vision, story, systems and value for the DoorDash brand, inspire creativity and infuse our brand into every touchpoint of our organization. Reporting into the Global Head of Brand, we are seeking a visionary senior strategist to stand up DoorDash’s Connections Strategy discipline. Often referred to as 'Communications Strategy,' this new team will be responsible for bridging creative and media, strategizing how to effectively deliver cohesive, impactful campaign messaging to our audiences and land into culture. We're looking for an entrepreneurial spirit who is as fluent in evolving media consumption behaviors as they are in ideas. A desire to work in fast paced, sometimes ambiguous environments and an appetite for truly remarkable creativity are musts.

Responsibilities

  • Establish the Connections Strategy discipline at DoorDash – not only supporting our creative output but architecting the foundational processes that will become our operational blueprint.
  • Develop and champion audience-centric media strategies and communication frameworks that place Consumers, Dashers, and Merchants at the epicenter of every campaign touchpoint.
  • Collaborate deeply with Creative and Media teams alike to build innovative go-to-market strategies that connect, drive value and inspire action.
  • Spearhead adoption of breakthrough media innovations by identifying shifts in the communication landscape before they become mainstream.
  • Use research and analytics tools to understand media preferences, channel behaviors, media consumption patterns, and advertising trends.
  • Identify and prioritize high-impact communication channels and touchpoints to maximize audience resonance and campaign effectiveness.
  • Analyze performance and provide strategic recommendations for optimization.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant strategy experience brand side or within creative/media agencies.
  • Possess the strategic vision, tactical expertise, and entrepreneurial drive to construct a discipline from inception.
  • Demonstrated ability to unite creative and media teams around unified strategic imperatives, resulting in award-worthy campaign executions.
  • Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
