About the position

As the Senior Manager of Product Analytics, you’ll lead a team whose insights directly shape the future of Underdog’s products. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of data and product strategy, where your work will influence how millions of users experience Underdog. You’ll have the opportunity to build processes, frameworks, and partnerships that ensure analytics is a driver of measurable product success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Product Analysts, fostering growth while ensuring delivery of high-quality, impactful insights.
  • Own the strategy and execution of experimentation frameworks (A/B, multivariate, multi-arm and contextual bandit, etc.), ensuring tests are designed, run, and communicated with rigor and clarity.
  • Establish analytical frameworks and KPIs to evaluate product performance and provide actionable recommendations for new and existing features.
  • Improve intake, prioritization, and visibility of analytics work so stakeholders clearly understand progress, priorities, and outcomes.
  • Ensure Product Analysts are integrated into product planning meetings (PM/EM/Design) to influence decision-making early in the development process.
  • Lead and refine product readouts and Slack updates to improve communication and visibility of key insights and deliverables.
  • Partner with Product leadership to shape roadmaps, identify opportunities, and ensure analytics is central to strategic decision-making.
  • Champion a data-driven culture across the product organization by democratizing access to data through business intelligence tools and setting standards for clear, compelling storytelling with insights.
  • Define the mission, vision, and long-term strategy for Product Analytics at Underdog, including processes, frameworks, and tooling improvements.

Requirements

  • Team Leader: You manage, coach, and develop product analysts to deliver high-quality, impactful insights.
  • Experimentation Expert: You design and run A/B and multivariate tests, leveraging tools like Amplitude Experiment, LaunchDarkly, StatSig, Optimizely, or Eppo to guide product decisions.
  • Analytical Strategist: You build frameworks to evaluate product performance, track KPIs, and turn data into actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborative Partner: You work closely with Product Leadership, PMs, Engineers, and Designers to define problems, uncover insights, and influence the product roadmap.
  • Data Evangelist: You champion data-driven decision-making, ensuring analytics are accessible, trusted, and central to product strategy.
  • Storyteller: You translate complex analysis into clear, compelling narratives that inspire confidence and drive alignment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the sports industry, particularly fantasy sports or sports betting.
  • Deep expertise with advanced experimentation platforms such as LaunchDarkly, Optimizely, StatSig, or Eppo.
  • Background working in fast-paced, agile product development environments.
  • A track record of scaling analytics processes, tools, or teams to meet growing business needs.
  • Familiarity with modern data stacks and visualization tools to drive self-serve insights.
