Additionally, it is responsible for the data engineering, science, and products for Disney. We are looking for a high-performing Senior Manager, Product Management to lead a dynamic team of product managers in driving the strategy, roadmap, and execution for our Data Governance domain. This role focuses on Privacy, Consent Management, and Global Data Compliance, sitting at the intersection of data platform engineering, legal/privacy compliance, and user trust. You will play a vital part in building scalable, secure, and compliant data capabilities. This strategic leadership position is focused on driving governance solutions, ensuring compliance, and delivering value to customers. This role requires a blend of deep product sense, technical expertise, and strong cross-functional collaboration. You'll drive the development of products and platform services that enable our enterprise to meet evolving privacy regulations (like GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, COPPA) while also delivering seamless experiences for customers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of product managers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, autonomy, transparency, and continuous learning.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership qualities by inspiring and motivating your team to achieve their best performance.
  • Implement effective performance management practices, including setting clear goals, providing regular feedback, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Develop and communicate a clear strategic vision for the Data Governance domain, aligning product initiatives with the overall business goals and objectives.
  • Define and lead the strategic roadmap for Data Governance with an emphasis on privacy, consent, and regulatory compliance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including engineering, legal, compliance, and user trust teams.
  • Drive complex cross-functional data governance product initiatives and build a center of excellence with subject matter expertise around data privacy compliance.
  • Translate complex global privacy regulations into scalable, user-friendly platform capabilities.
  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for data governance features-from ideation through launch and ongoing adoption.
  • Ensure solutions meet both internal operational needs and external customer-facing requirements.
  • Build robust platform services and third-party product integration capabilities that support global privacy operations at scale.
  • Champion a privacy-first architecture across data collection, ingestion, classification, usage, and retention workflows.
  • Define and track KPIs to measure the success and impact of privacy and governance products.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external vendors to ensure scalable implementation of privacy and compliance tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field; or requisite work experience.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in an enterprise software development environment, with a minimum 6 years as a product manager.
  • Expertise with Privacy Rights Management, Data Management, Big Data & Analytics, Data Warehouse, Data Quality, Data Governance or related field.
  • Experience with regulatory and legal implications for integrated data platforms.
  • Proven ability to develop product strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management.
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams and influencing conversations to drive positive outcomes.
  • Adept at driving clarity through all levels of the organization for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Communicates difficult concepts and negotiates with others to adopt a different point of view.
  • Demonstrable analytical & problem-solving skills with ability to balance various priorities.
  • Strong bias for action, tenacity, and 'get it done' attitude.

Nice-to-haves

  • Masters Degree in a related field; and/or relevant certification/s.
  • Hands-on experience in configuring, managing, or integrating with privacy management tools such as OneTrust, TrustArc.
  • Knowledge of data security approaches and requirements considerations.

Benefits

  • The hiring range for this position in Seattle, WA is $193,000 to $258,900 per year.
  • In Santa Monica, CA is $184,300 to $247,100 per year.
  • A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package.
