We are seeking Salesforce Software Engineers who are passionate about marrying data with emerging technologies. As a Capital One Software Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.

Responsibilities

  • Create solutions architecture for low code workflow solutions with documents and diagrams
  • Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and Salesforce systems
  • Lead trade-off and impact analysis work for hard to change technical decisions, and manage technical conflict
  • Demonstrate thought leadership and strategy in partnership with delivery and product partners
  • Explain and represent solutions in various product, platform, and architecture discussions
  • Present work products and strategies to product managers, technology leadership across Capital One
  • Function as a primary architecture point of contact for other architecture teams and delivery teams for solutions and systems
  • Continuously learn as technology needs evolves
  • Utilize coding languages like JavaScript (Angular, React, Node), TypeScript, SQL and Java, Salesforce development with Apex, Native, VisualForce, Lightning framework, SOQL, REST & SOAP APIs, and RESTful web services

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 6 years of experience in Software engineering (Internship experience does not apply)
  • At least 4 years of experience in Salesforce Software Engineering
  • At least 1 year experience with a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
  • At least 4 years of people management experience

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree
  • Salesforce Certified Developer or Salesforce Certified Administrator certification
  • 5+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Salesforce development with Apex, Native, VisualForce, Lightning framework, SOQL
  • 7+ years of people management experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
