Our New Verticals team is on a mission to deliver selection, quality, and value to our customers across grocery, convenience, alcohol, retail, and other emerging lines of business. This team will drive the evolution of DoorDash from a restaurant delivery app to enabling access to everything your neighborhood has to offer. We are at the early stage of this transformation and looking for designers to help shape the path we take. Search is one of the cornerstone experiences that consumers use every day as they shop for groceries, retail, and other goods on DoorDash. This role puts you at the center of this core area, leading design for all our New Vertical search experiences. You will craft design solutions that help people find exactly the type of tahini or the exact shade of lip gloss they are seeking. Your designs will scale across categories in a simple, systemic, and delightful way. You will be working with a fully staffed cross-functional team and collaborating closely with designers across the company. You will report to the Head of New Verticals Design on our Consumer team in our Product Design organization. This role is hybrid, 1-2 days a week working onsite from one of our Design hubs and the rest working from home.
