About the position

The Sr. Product Manager - Ventilation and Microwaves is a product leader within Electrolux Major Appliances, who will successfully lead the product line management, business strategy, and business execution of microwaves, hoods, and specialty ranges. Each of these product categories are strategic, growth areas and are manufactured at internal and external factories around the world. You will be responsible for developing, communicating, and gaining organizational alignment on the Product Road Map, identifying specific products and feature levels for each individual product over a five-year planning cycle. You will also be responsible for the strategic and annual planning of this business, as well as the execution of these plans.

Responsibilities

  • Be the Electrolux's 'resident' expert on microwave cooking products.
  • Be the key driver in the strategic and annual product plans for each product category.
  • Work with R&D, Global Sourcing, Design, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Suppliers to drive cost efficiency and simplification across the business.
  • Ensure that new product launches have business cases that contribute to the business strategy, are delivered to the marketplace on time and at the cost targets in the product plan.
  • Collaborate with Product Planning and Innovation team to assume an impactful leadership role in the effective delivery of all product category projects.
  • Participate proactively with other members of the company's senior management team in developing and executing strategic and annual plans to optimize the market and financial performance of the freestanding cooking products category.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience with product management, product line financial management, finished goods sourcing from a global supply base as well as product planning and project management activities.
  • Experience with merchandising principles, financial analysis, cost accounting principles, sales of consumer durables, ideally within the homebuilder, retail channels.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA is preferred.
  • Previous experience with ventilation products preferred.
