Freshworks is looking for a Senior Recruiter to join our growing team in San Mateo. This individual contributor role will be part of the Talent Acquisition function and will focus on building and scaling our Product and Engineering hiring efforts across North America. Responsibilities

  • Source and engage top-tier technical talent using LinkedIn Recruiter and other innovative sourcing strategies, with an emphasis on engineering, product management, and design roles.
  • Own and drive the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle: sourcing, interviewing, reference checks, compensation negotiation, and offer closure.
  • Partner closely with engineering and product leadership—including senior executives—to understand hiring needs and deliver against headcount plans.
  • Build and manage strong pipelines for critical technical roles across senior IC and leadership levels (e.g., Staff, Principal, Sr. Director+).
  • Deliver a world-class candidate experience, ensuring high-touch engagement from initial outreach to onboarding and post-offer check-ins.
  • Collaborate with Employer Branding and Marketing teams on campaigns, events, and content to attract top technical talent.
  • Host and support technical recruiting events, such as engineering mixers, hackathons, and meetups.
  • Apply a continuous improvement mindset to enhance processes, tools, and hiring outcomes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of recruiting experience, ideally focused on technical roles in engineering and product, including senior IC and leadership (Sr. Director+); experience in SaaS or high-growth tech environments preferred.
  • Deep understanding of technical sourcing strategies and full-cycle recruiting practices.
  • Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems (e.g., Greenhouse) and recruiting tech stacks.
  • Proven ability to influence and build trust with hiring managers, interviewers, and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong sense of ownership, collaboration, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills to engage both passive and active talent.
