About the position
The position involves building automation pipelines by leveraging DevOps concepts and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools including Jenkins, Maven, uDeploy, Stash, and Docker. The role requires building and deploying REST Application Program Interfaces (APIs) using Java and Spring Boot, and supporting API and HTTP networks by employing different database drivers such as Graph QL. The candidate will develop tools and solutions that enable the team to create and maintain platforms faster and with greater accuracy using DevOps Toolkits like Kubernetes, Rushhour, DataDog, Jenkins, and Splunk. Additionally, the role involves developing software processes in cloud providers including AWS, EC2, and Lambda, and providing business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.
Responsibilities
- Develops original and creative technical solutions to ongoing development efforts.
- Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.
- Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
- Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.
- Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.
- Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.
- Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.
- Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.
- Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.
- Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing and developing software applications.
- Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing and developing software applications.
- Demonstrated Expertise in developing software applications using Java and leveraging cloud services from Amazon Web Services.
- Experience with testing frameworks like JUnit and mocking libraries like Mockito for unit testing.
- Experience with version control using Git and performing containerization using Docker.
- Experience developing UI features for software applications using Typescript, HTML, CSS, or Angular.
- Experience performing application modernization and migration to Azure Cloud Platform using SQL and Stored Procedure.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver effective technical solutions using Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft SQL Server, Azure Blob Storage, or Power BI.
- Experience automating and managing the CI/CD pipeline using Azure DevOps for application deployment.
