As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in transforming healthcare data into actionable insights that empower clinicians, researchers, and administrators to deliver better care.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain services that process large volumes of healthcare data from diverse sources (EHRs, medical claims, etc.)
  • Develop and implement quality checks and monitoring mechanisms to ensure process integrity and data accuracy
  • Collaborate with Product specialists and business stakeholders to understand customer needs and translate them into effective solutions
  • Design and implement scalable, efficient, and secure data solutions aligned with healthcare data privacy regulations
  • Develop data deliverables that support analysis and reporting for various clinical and business objectives
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in healthcare data interoperability
  • Work effectively in a collaborative team environment, communicating clearly and concisely with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience as a software developer, data engineer, or similar role
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Java and Python
  • Solid understanding of data engineering principles and best practices, including data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS) and associated data services
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • A passion for driving positive change through innovative data solutions

Nice-to-haves

  • Hands-on experience working with healthcare data, standards, and regulations (e.g. HIPAA, HL7)
  • Contributor to a team that practices Agile methodologies
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
