About the position
This is a hybrid role, requiring presence in our Dublin office at least three times per week. We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team in expanding and improving our Recognition & Celebrations solutions. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Product team to clarify requirements and co-design effective, user-centric solutions.
- Collaborate closely with Principals and Architects to align on technical vision and strategy.
- Design and implement innovative solutions that enhance the core functionality and scalability of our platform.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure high standards of code quality, maintainability, and performance.
- Provide technical mentorship to peers, fostering growth and knowledge sharing across the team.
Requirements
- 5+ years' experience with application design and development in enterprise applications with Java, Spring (Spring Boot, Spring Web Stack, Spring Data or Spring JDBC), AWS.
- Experience working in an agile micro service oriented development environment.
- Familiarity with RESTful as an API design and common Batch Processing Patterns.
- Good Database application development experience with Oracle/SQL or Aurora databases.
- Experience with unit and integration testing.
- Familiarity with Test Driven Development (TDD).
- Experience working with AWS-based DevOps or CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Apache Camel or Apache Kafka is advantageous.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with OpenSearch (or Elasticsearch), Amazon MSK/Kafka, or AWS Lambda as part of infrastructure, monitoring, or event-driven architectures.
- Ability to mentor team members and work independently.
- Experience representing the team in design discussions with senior technical stakeholders.
