About the position

We are hiring a talented software developer to join our product development team. This team is responsible for building and enhancing our flagship timing products, shaping the future of precise timing solutions. As part of our team, you will collaborate with other skilled developers to create innovative new features and improve product performance. Your contributions will directly impact the product’s success and the satisfaction of our customers. You will be based out of our office in West Henrietta, NY, but our team is international with significant presence in France and Spain, and some of your closest team members will be international. We strongly prefer someone who can have a regular presence in the office, but we have a hybrid work policy and support for flexible working hours.

Responsibilities

  • Developing embedded software for our flagship timeserver products.
  • Designing and implementing new features.
  • Troubleshooting defects, identifying root cause, and proposing corrections.
  • Collaborating with product management to address customer requirements.
  • Guiding and mentoring junior developers.
  • Participating in peer code review.
  • Working with the latest in Resilient PNT technology.
  • Staying abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in a few programming and scripting languages (C, python, and bash are ideal).
  • Proficiency working in a Linux environment.
  • Proficiency with revision control systems (ideally git).
  • Experience with networking technologies.
  • Ability to work with an international team using Agile methods.
  • 8 – 10 years of experience in software development.
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Linux system administration.
  • Experience working with embedded systems.
  • Experience with network timing protocols (NTP, PTP).
