Responsibilities
- Drive the technical strategy for the HRIS Platform, setting direction for long-term architecture, scale, and reliability
- Design and ship foundational data models, services, and abstractions that power mission-critical flows and are adopted broadly across product teams
- Lead the evolution of our event-driven architecture and platform primitives
- Identify and execute on multi-quarter initiatives that improve the scalability, fault tolerance, and developer ergonomics of our platform
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and infrastructure leaders to define and deliver on key business and technical goals
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to engineers across the HRIS group and broader org
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a track record of technical leadership and impact at scale
- Deep experience designing and building complex, distributed systems with high reliability and performance requirements
- Proven ability to influence engineering direction at the org-wide level through architecture, mentoring, and cross-functional alignment
- Strong product and business intuition; you know how to balance technical idealism with pragmatic execution
- Experience operating in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
- Expertise in designing platform primitives and abstractions that are broadly reusable across multiple teams
