About the position

Skilled Apprentice Electricians work with the Lead Electrician on assigned installation projects. This role involves serving clients by expertly servicing customers’ entire needs, following the direction of installation jobs to complete them within designated time frames, and maintaining a neat work area while performing repairs or scheduled services. The position requires planning the layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures based on job specifications and local codes, connecting wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components, and testing electrical systems or continuity of circuits using various testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety. Additionally, the role includes preparing electrical systems for inspection, maintaining a clean job site, being safety conscious, participating in training exercises, and living the company's core values in every interaction.

Responsibilities

  • Serve clients by expertly servicing customers’ entire needs.
  • Follow the direction of installation jobs to complete in designated time frame.
  • Wear floor savers while in the client’s home and maintain a neat work area.
  • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
  • Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits using testing devices.
  • Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment and testing equipment.
  • Prepare electrical systems for inspection to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair.
  • Maintain a clean, organized job site.
  • Always be safety conscious both on the job and while driving.
  • Participate actively in all training exercises and morning meetings.
  • Live the Core Values in every interaction.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Associate degree preferred but not required.
  • 3+ years’ experience in the Electrical trade.
  • Self-starter, reliable, flexibility with hours.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Must pass random drug testing.
  • Understanding of the current regulations within the field.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills on a technical level.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • General knowledge of power tools and techniques for care and safe use.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and skills for HVAC installation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of systems and equipment.
