About the position

Join CVS Health as a Software Development Engineer and role model to peers and clients in AS/400 IT application development. Within the AS/400 application development area you will be responsible for analysis, design, development, testing and review to ensure adherence to quality requirements and ensure the product works. Over the time you will be aligned to specific functional areas that you will work closely with the related SME's to gain the knowledge and support both functionally and technically as part of RxClaim/Adjudication application.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the CVS leads on Analysis, Development and Estimation activities related to designate project/functional area in IBM AS/400 (IBM i) environment
  • Ensure appropriate and effective data integration across multiple applications
  • Provide support to analysis, design, development and testing complex functionality within the RxClaim application (adjudication area)
  • Create/review technical solutions and document projects, for example: Analysis & Designs Program specifications and Code Reviews
  • Help define standards / methodologies / guidelines, and ensure compliance while aligning solutions to the RxClaim application architecture

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience and a deep understanding of AS/400 application development, Maintenance and Support
  • 3+ years of application development experience in RPG, RPGLE and CL; Synon2/E (aka COOL 2/E)
  • 3+ years of IBMi SQL experience
  • 3+ years experience working on SDLC and Agile methodologies

Nice-to-haves

  • Demonstrated successful completion of several medium to large scope projects; proficiency working on all phases of SDLC and with problem determination and resolution through research and fact finding.
  • Experience with RxClaim or other PBM Adjudication system is preferred
