Software Development Engineer II, Amazon SageMaker

About the position

Our team owns DeepLearning AMI and Deep Learning containers AWS products. We build base frameworks layer to integrate open source frameworks and related machine learning libraries to work on EC2, SageMaker, Graviton and Neuron. Our goal is to make AWS the best place to run Deep Learning.

Responsibilities

• Deliver High-Impact Solutions: Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Amazon SageMaker, EKS, EC2) to deliver seamless integrations that improve the customer experience and optimize performance for ML workloads.
• Engage with Customers: Partner with customers to understand their needs, gather feedback, and ensure DLCs meet and exceed expectations for usability, performance, and reliability.
• Build and Lead Teams: Mentor and coach a diverse team of talented engineers. Foster a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and innovation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Nice-to-haves

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
