About the position

The Amazon Air Network Control Center (AANCC) Network Solutions & Analytics (NSA) team is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join our dynamic group of technical problem solvers. Our team builds mission-critical applications that enable data-driven decision making for one of Amazon's fastest-growing operations. We're looking for someone who can help us move beyond just consuming data to creating and managing our own datasets, while maintaining our ability to rapidly prototype and deliver solutions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment where ownership and speed are critical success factors. You'll work closely with Program Managers and Business Analysts to quickly translate operational needs into technical solutions. This role requires someone who can balance technical excellence with practical delivery, making smart trade-offs to ensure we're building the right solutions at the right time.

  • Manage the full development lifecycle while leveraging modern AWS services and development practices.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams, translating operational needs into robust technical solutions.
  • Prototype rapidly, design scalable systems, and see your work directly impact Amazon's logistics capabilities.

Requirements

Nice-to-haves

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

  • Experience with AWS CDK for infrastructure as code

Benefits

  • Medical, financial, and/or other benefits
  • Equity and sign-on payments may be provided as part of a total compensation package
