About the position

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Explore and research new innovative ways to push the envelope of battery life of Apple Watch. Work with cross-functional teams to optimize energy usage of new features. Improve existing APIs and build new APIs to help developers complete tasks more efficiently. Monitor analytics to understand large scale trends and hot spots for battery usage. Analyze and implement improvements for existing system inefficiencies to prolong battery life. Work with Quality Engineering team to design tests and experiments to reproduce issues and verify design policies. Debug and identify causes of power regressions in power testing. Develop and maintain tools to improve the debugging and triaging energy issues. 40 hours/week.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • 1 year of experience with Embedded SW Development.
  • 1 year of experience with Debugging.
  • 1 year of experience with Performance analysis.
  • 1 year of experience with C and C++.
  • 1 year of experience with Software Lifecycle.
