Software Development Engineer

About the position

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Design and implement RESTful application programming interfaces for the Web. Design and Implement data storage solutions. Design and implement object oriented computer code to execute business logic. Conduct code Reviews of peers’ computer codes. Evaluate the performance and scalability of a web service. Design and implement an analytics platform to measure user engagement. Design and implement computer software to recommend content to users. Design and implement back-end server software leveraging the Java and Spring/Spring Boot frameworks. 40 hours/week.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement RESTful application programming interfaces for the Web.
• Design and implement data storage solutions.
• Design and implement object oriented computer code to execute business logic.
• Conduct code reviews of peers’ computer codes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field.
• 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or related occupation.
• 1 year of experience with Cassandra Data Storage.
• 1 year of experience with Kafka.
• 1 year of experience with REST.
• 1 year of experience with Java.
• 1 year of experience with Spring.
• 1 year of experience with Distributed Databases.
• Experience in requirements gathering.
• Experience with performance measurement tools, including Yammer Metrics.
• Experience with user engagement measurement (Datamining capability).
