About the position

APPLE INC has the following available in Seattle, Washington. Design and develop data pipelines and tools for working with Apple Maps data. Partner with Apple Maps Program, Data Science and Engineering teams to understand data needs. Advocate for Apple customers, with a strong focus on privacy. Architect and develop new data processing systems to enable quick and easy consumption and augmentation of data. Design, build and launch efficient and reliable data platforms. Onboard production data platforms onto cloud technologies. Create data models for optimal storage and retrieval. Build data expertise and streamline routine analytics tasks. 40 hours/week.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data pipelines and tools for working with Apple Maps data.
• Partner with Apple Maps Program, Data Science and Engineering teams to understand data needs.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
• Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation.
• 1 year of experience with each of the following skills is required: Parallel data processing with Spark and Hadoop.
• Designing and building data pipelines.
• Java and Python software development.
• Running data systems on AWS or Cloud.
• Building data platforms for internal users.
