About the position

The Software Engineer will support the C2BMC program and will be responsible for software development in the Java language. This position is for a Software Engineer for the Enterprise Services team on the C2BMC program. The candidate will be responsible for software development in the Java language. Responsible for performing in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support. Designs, codes, maintains, debugs and configures enterprise software applications and products. Works from specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications. Assists with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs. Interfaces with other system support groups to resolve problems, setting standards and improving overall efficiency of the operating system. Designs, codes, tests and implements tools for operations automation.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products.
• Design, code, maintain, debug and configure enterprise software applications and products.
• Work from specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications.
• Assist with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs.
• Interface with other system support groups to resolve problems.
• Design, code, test and implement tools for operations automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or related field from an accredited college.
• 3-5 years of related work experience.
• Active Secret clearance required to start.
• Active IAT Level II / DoD 8570 Certification required to start (ex: Security+, CCNA, etc.).
• Software engineering and software development with Java/JEE experience.
• Experience and knowledge of basic software practices such as coding standards and configuration management.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a rapid paced, team environment.
• Experience developing enterprise applications using Java.
• Familiarity with Java foundation classes and toolkits.
• Experience developing software for Unix/Linux.
• Experience working as part of an Agile team; understanding of Agile methodology.
• Use of common software development and management tools such as git, Nexus, JIRA, Confluence, maven/Gradle and Eclipse.
• Understanding of standard system engineering design artifacts such as Use Cases and SysML diagrams.
• Good working knowledge of MS Office products.
