The Cboe’s AI Center of Excellence (CoE) is hiring for a Software Engineer.
Responsibilities
- Build and deploy generative AI-driven applications using modern full-stack technologies (React, Python, cloud services)
- Develop and enhance Cboe's AI Platform
- Design new agents and tools and integrate them with the Cboe AI Platform
- Create intuitive, novel user interfaces that make complex AI capabilities accessible to end users
- Stay up to date on AI advancements, and think critically about when and how to implement them
- Work closely with complementary engineering teams
- Produce clear and thorough documentation, including high-level charter, functional requirements, technical design, and testing scenarios
- Provide ongoing application support to end users
- Communicate technical information clearly and concisely to an end-user audience
Requirements
- Either: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in another discipline with demonstrated experience (academic or professional) building generative AI applications.
- 1-3 years of experience building applications in python
- 1-2 years of experience with react and modern front end development
- Understanding of prompting best practices.
- Knowledge of current AI landscape.
- Willingness to think creatively to explore potential use cases.
- A passion for working in financial markets.
Nice-to-haves
- Worked with cloud computing services (AWS, Snowflake preferred).
- Experience with vector databases, text embeddings, and/or agent-based AI tools.
- Experience writing effective and performant SQL
- Experience building end-to-end, large scale web applications
- Projects or experience leveraging AI for creative or novel use cases
