Visionist has an exciting new opportunity for a Software Engineer with a Backend/DevOps focus on our largest PRIME contract. Our team of Analysts and Engineers is motivated by the direct impact on the mission, crafting specialized tools for enhanced efficiency and quick iterations for our operations user base. This premier program encompasses traditional software services including Systems Design and Engineering, Database Administration, Data Science and Knowledge Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Integration and Test, as well as Operations and Systems Support. Responsibilities
- Collaborate within a cross functional team
- Develop python applications to perform user and data management
- Develop ansible playbooks to deploy and upkeep upwards of 50 servers
- Adapt the platform as mission requirements progress
- Elicit requirements and feedback directly from users
- Assist users in utilizing the platform and aid development of their own script and process development
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline. (Additional 4 years of experience may substitute degree)
- 8 years of experience in software development
- Experience with the following: Python, Django, SQL, Ansible, Git, Linux, Redis, and Nginx
- Basic experience working in Linux environments
- Experience running and troubleshooting servers
- Experience interacting directly with customers
