The Cloud Infrastructure team is a unique opportunity within Notion to architect the foundational cloud environment that can scale alongside Notion’s rapid growth. As an engineer on the team, you'll work on the fundamental infrastructure components that all other teams at Notion build upon and guide Notion through the next few years of growth.

Responsibilities

• Drive the future of Cloud Infrastructure at Notion, leading strategy and execution across compute, networking, and resource orchestration.
• Ensure the platform scales reliably and securely to serve 100M+ users worldwide.
• Build the next-generation self-service platform, partnering with product engineers to enable rapid, reliable deployment.
• Maintain a high-quality bar for everything your team ships.
• Guide the team through high-severity incidents and improve incident response processes.
• Participate in a sustainable on-call rotation and help shape Notion’s reliability culture.

Requirements

• Hands-on software engineer with experience in contributing to large codebases and establishing strong patterns in greenfield projects.
• Expertise with cloud concepts, particularly in networking and compute optimization.
• Experience in building observability tools to validate changes and programmatically catch regressions.
• Comfortable navigating the fast-moving, unstructured nature of a hyper-growth startup.
• Ability to prioritize projects based on business impact.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Cloud Compute and Networking technologies such as Cloudflare or AWS.
• Experience in cloud efficiency, including capacity planning and cost attribution.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code Technologies like Terraform, Pulumi, or Typescript.
