Software Engineer I (Cloud/Platform DevOps Engineer)

About the position

We are seeking a qualified candidate for a position in Engineering or Software Engineering. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or a High School Diploma/GED with at least 4 years of relevant experience. The role requires knowledge of coding for web or mobile applications and familiarity with Agile methodologies. The candidate should be willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes, both within and out of state.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field of study OR a High School Diploma/GED and at least 4 years of experience in Engineering, Software Engineering or related field
• Knowledge of coding web or mobile applications
• Knowledge of Agile
• Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state)

Nice-to-haves

• 1 year of experience in any internship or personal projects
• Experience analyzing and reporting data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions
• Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems
• DevOps
• Skilled in scripting like Bash, Python, Ruby, etc.
• Working knowledge of Automation software like Chef, Puppet, Terraform, Ansible, etc.
• Working knowledge of deployments using Containers/Dockers, CI/CD pipelines
• Exposure to Cloud technologies like Azure, AWS, or GCP and Linux
