About the role, we are looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer II (SE 2) with knowledge of Java, C++ and XML. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade web applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UX designers, and QA engineers, to deliver robust, scalable, and high-performing software solutions. Must be open to learning and using new technology.

Responsibilities

  • Writing and reviewing portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.
  • Completing simple bug fixes.
  • Working closely with other development team members to understand product requirements and translate them into software designs.
  • Operating in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.
  • Resolving technical issues as necessary.
  • Keeping abreast of new technology developments.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with data manipulation languages.
  • Ability to work with simple data models.
  • Possess current experience with C++, Java, XML and Linux.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices — code coverage.
  • Basic knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Basic knowledge of data manipulation languages.
  • Knowledge of data storage subsystems.
  • Knowledge of test-driven development.
  • Ability and desire to learn new processes and technologies.
