At Ping Identity, we're changing the way people and businesses think about cybersecurity, digital experiences, and identity and access management. We are looking for a highly-motivated Software Engineer II to join our Ping DevOps Integrations team that builds modern DevOps tools for our advanced identity platform. These tools will be used by both our customers and by Ping Identity engineers to deploy and configure mission critical IAM (Identity & Access Management) services that power thousands of world-class organizations. This role requires a developer capable of staying on top of the latest DevOps trends, learning and adapting as new frameworks grow in popularity. The work is fast-paced and collaborative, involving a cross-functional team of product managers, software engineers, and architects across Ping Identity. The ideal applicant will have development experience with APIs and frameworks, good analytical and creative problem-solving skills, and be passionate about research, innovation, and experimentation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop solutions and best practices for automated deployment of Ping Identity software and cloud services.
  • Participate in planning work and identify areas of improvement.
  • Maintain and grow existing projects based on market interest and customer feedback.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience with programming using Go and other languages.
  • A strong understanding of HTTP and RESTful web services.
  • Familiarity with networking, security, and configuration management.
  • Experience with development tools including IDEs and GitLab.
  • Experience using Git in a team environment (merge requests, branching, push, and pulls).
  • The ability to learn quickly and independently, and are capable of gathering information and understanding complex features and environments.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communications skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with containerization technologies, including Docker.
  • Experience with orchestration technologies, including Kubernetes.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code technologies, including Terraform.
  • Familiarity with and/or experience building CI/CD pipelines.
  • An understanding of PKI and IAM protocols (OAuth, OpenID Connect, and SAML).
  • Experience with Ping Identity software or similar IAM products.
