Software Engineer II

About the position

SEACORP's Combat Systems Business Area is currently seeking a Software Engineer II. As an Engineer for Tactical Control Systems, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for supporting design and maintaining submarine combat system network architecture to support our continued commitment of providing the US and Royal Australian Navies the highest quality software.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
• Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system.
• Update or enhance existing software capabilities.
• Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware, or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance.
• Work with other functional disciplines (e.g., project management, acquisition, logistics, security, etc.) to integrate hardware and software systems, develop specifications, and performance requirements.
• Advise customer about or perform maintenance of software system.
• Consult with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements, or resolve customer problems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field such as engineering or mathematics.
• 3 years of experience.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
