About the position

As a Software Engineer III in Financial Systems, you will play a key role in the design, development, and enhancement of SiriusXM's Commercial Reseller and Fleet billing portal. This platform enables seamless billing and subscription management for commercial partners and fleet operators, supporting SiriusXM's expanding presence in the B2B market. You will be responsible for leading technical initiatives, collaborating with business and IT stakeholders, and driving the implementation of scalable and efficient Salesforce-based solutions. Your work will directly contribute to improving billing accuracy, streamlining operations, and enhancing the overall user experience for our commercial partners.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and enhance Salesforce-based financial systems, with a focus on the Commercial Reseller and Fleet billing portal.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Billing Operations, and IT teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Lead the end-to-end development lifecycle for key system enhancements, including gathering requirements, developing solutions, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
  • Implement and optimize Salesforce Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Marketing Cloud solutions.
  • Develop and maintain Apex code, Lightning components, Flows, and integrations with external systems (e.g., MuleSoft, SAP, AWS, Oracle Financials).
  • Utilize Salesforce development environments, version control (GIT), and CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes.
  • Administrate and support maintenance of Salesforce orgs in general and based upon seasonal Salesforce release requirements.
  • Resolve escalated production issues affecting Salesforce-based systems.
  • Support data migration, transformation, and reconciliation efforts related to billing and reseller account management.
  • Assist with the onboarding and technical support of new business customers in their adoption of the custom API and related interfaces.
  • Work closely with third-party vendors and internal teams to ensure system performance, scalability, and security best practices.
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior developers and contribute to team knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex billing, subscription management, and pricing configuration issues.
  • Stay up to date with Salesforce best practices, new features, and emerging financial technology trends to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Salesforce development including relevant certifications.
  • Strong expertise in Salesforce Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce Flows.
  • Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Marketing Cloud.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce DX, GIT, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of subscription billing, reseller management, and financial data processing.
  • Experience with API integrations (REST/SOAP) and middleware solutions.
  • Understanding of data models, SOQL, and Salesforce security best practices.
  • Familiarity with Python, SQL, and ETL tools is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

  • Base salary range of $90,000 to $140,000 depending on skills, qualifications, and experience.
