Software Engineer IV

About the position

We are looking for a stellar full stack developer (including UX) who will be responsible for design, development and support of security tools used by security and application developers. These tools help securely release eBay's public facing product lines. The ideal candidate will be a software developer with engineering experience working on Security attacks reduction through foundational product security fixes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and support security tools for security and application developers.
• Work on security attacks reduction through foundational product security fixes.
• Build automation tools and REST APIs for security processes and web applications.
• Analyze SAST/DAST scan data and logs to identify security gaps.
• Collaborate with product development teams in a continuous delivery environment.
• Deliver in short sprints within an Agile framework.
• Communicate effectively with IT and business teams.

Requirements

• BSCS degree with 5-7 years of experience or an MS degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Up to 5 years of related hands-on product development experience with web applications.
• Strong programming experience in development of user interface of web-based tools (Node.js, React JS, Angular JS).
• Ability to build automation tools and REST APIs for security processes and web applications on Java (with Spring MVC).
• Familiarity with databases (MongoDB or Hadoop, noSQL, Oracle).
• Ability to analyze SAST/DAST scan data for security gaps.
• Experience working in a continuous delivery developer role.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in secure DevOps space.
• Knowledge of other programming languages like Python.
• Experience with security scanner tools and integration in a CICD process.
