Software Engineer, Motion Planning

About the position

As a member of the team, you'll have the opportunity to work with a small team of highly skilled engineers and scientists to bring new experiences to Apple products. This position requires a self-motivated engineer with strong technical and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating and debugging a complex motion planning system
• Designing and implementing APIs to control systems
• Designing and implementing firmware level features
• Implementing evaluations for motion planning systems

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Robotics or related field
• General understanding of optimization methods
• Ability to break down large features and implement practical solutions
• Curiosity about new technologies, flexibility, and openness to ambiguity

Nice-to-haves

• iOS Development experience, including experience with Swift and Apple development tools
• Experience developing firmware level features (e.g. drivers)
• Experience with system design and hardware integration
