About the position

RMC is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to support our customer at Hill AFB in Ogden, Utah. The selected applicant will provide technical expertise and guidance in solving complex engineering issues.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support in all aspects of hardware and software design analysis, development, integration, and implementation.
- Identify the appropriate technologies to solve engineering issues.
- Assist the procurement team with the procurement of software and the tracking of developer software licenses.
- Support data analyst with the data archiving and data processing of radar-related data.
- Support the development and maintenance of applications written in C++ and Python.
- Work with 84 RADES Mission Critical Applications and advanced graphical displays.
- Assist technical writers with the development of software documentation.
- Assist in the analysis of change requests impacting the RADES applications and the development of effective solutions.
- Perform component and full regression testing of RADES applications and environments.
- Support project milestone development, management, and reporting of RADES application maintenance, repair, and test activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline AND six (6) years of experience; OR a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline AND four (4) years of experience; OR In lieu of a degree, ten (10) total years of experience may be considered.
- An active DoD Secret clearance is required to start.
- Extensive experience coding large application packages, up to 100,000 lines, to include debugging and troubleshooting.
Nice-to-haves
- Highly preferred candidates will be able to research and understand theoretical mathematical modeling and then be able to implement that modeling in the software applications being developed.
- Experience with 84 RADES Mission Critical Applications is strongly desired.
