Our Next Gen Geo Mission Management team is looking for a motivated Software Engineer to augment our Agile Team in support of our Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) Mission Management Product. As a member of a high-performing team you must be passionate about your trade, focused on mission system quality, and supportive of timely delivery of features and capabilities. This position involves working within a 5-6 person agile team where you will be responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and testing of mainly Java code for Mission specific software. Working within a tight-knit agile team will require frequent collaboration within the team on technical issues as well as allow for exposure to a variety of development challenges where you will be coordinating with external groups on the issue and implementing a solution.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with an enthusiastic team of software, systems, and test engineers using the Agile Development methodology.
  • Support development efforts with baseline management, creation and maintenance of CI/CD build pipeline and automated test suites, issue troubleshooting and resolution of software (Java) and software discrepancies in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance prior to start.
  • Strong experience in software design and development.
  • Java programming experience.
  • Linux OS background/Experience developing in a Linux environment.
  • Experience developing maintainable code as well as performing unit, integration, and regression testing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience with mission management.
  • Demonstrated understanding of agile development within a scrum team.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.
  • Must have strong teamwork skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
