We are seeking a highly experienced Software Engineer to support a broad range of data services initiatives. This role focuses on developing and implementing robust infrastructures that enable secure, scalable, and high-performance data services. The engineer will work with a suite of modern technologies and platforms, including PostgreSQL, Apache NiFi, Neo4j, and DPASS, within a secure and mission-critical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure components that support secure data services.
  • Implement and optimize data pipelines and integration workflows using tools such as Apache NiFi and PostgreSQL.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of data platforms and applications.
  • Contribute to the development of CI/CD pipelines and automation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with Zero Trust principles and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system and data flow issues.
  • Document system designs, workflows, and operational procedures.
  • Participate in Agile development processes and provide technical leadership where appropriate.

Requirements

  • 16+ years of experience in software engineering or related technical roles (or Bachelor's + 12 years, or Master's + 10 years).
  • Proven experience supporting secure technical environments, preferably within the Intelligence Community (IC).
  • Proficiency in PostgreSQL, Apache NiFi, Neo4j, and DPASS.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD workflows, automation tools, and secure software delivery.
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture and cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Experience developing infrastructure and data services in cloud environments (e.g., AWS).
  • TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience or knowledge of Trusted Data Format (TDF) and Open Data Format (ODF).
  • Background in data governance, metadata management, or data-centric security models.
