About the position

As a Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase, you will execute creative software solutions, design, and development. Your responsibilities will include performing technical troubleshooting and building solutions or breaking down technical problems. You will develop secure and high-quality production code, review and debug code written by others, and identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems. Additionally, you will lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture. You will also drive communities of practice across Software Engineering to ensure awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Lead Software Engineer, Software Engineer/Developer, Infrastructure Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Programmer/Analyst, IT Specialist, or related occupation.
  • Experience with Amazon EKS, Amazon ECS, Amazon CloudWatch, AWS CloudWatch Container Insights, AWS CloudWatch X-Ray.
  • Experience with Terraform including State File manipulation.
  • Experience with Observability including Open Telemetry, DynaTrace, Grafana, Splunk, DataDog, and Prometheus.
  • Experience with Linux and Unix with bash scripting.
  • Experience with Linux and Unix with Docker or podman container commands.
  • Knowledge of Application, Data, and Infrastructure Architecture Disciplines.
  • Experience with Microservices.
  • Proficiency in Git, Bitbucket, GitHub, or GitLab.
  • Experience with Jenkins, Automated Testing, and Performance Testing.
