Software Validation Engineer

About the position

The position involves owning the Security validation of vehicle ECUs. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that software requirements are clear, complete, and testable. They will create a comprehensive test plan that outlines the testing approach, objectives, scope, resources, and schedule. The role also includes identifying opportunities to improve validation processes, testing methodologies, and overall product quality. Experience in building test infrastructure and automated testing is essential, along with the ability to document issues in detail and collaborate with developers to resolve those issues.

Responsibilities

• Own the Security validation of vehicle ECUs
• Ensure software requirements are clear, complete, and testable
• Create a comprehensive test plan outlining testing approach, objectives, scope, resources, and schedule
• Identify opportunities to improve validation processes, testing methodologies, and overall product quality
• Build test infrastructure and automated testing
• Document issues in detail and collaborate with developers to resolve those issues

Requirements

• BE or ME in Computer Science or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in testing networking and/or automotive products
• 5+ years of experience in automation scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or any other scripting languages
• 5+ years of experience in developing system level test cases
• Experience with automotive protocols (DoIP, UDS, LIN, and CAN)
• Good programming/scripting knowledge for developing automation scripts
• Experience in verification of Security features like Secure Boot, OTP fuzes, Secure Update, JTAG, etc.
• Passion for Embedded Systems testing
• Confidence in writing/maintaining test cases and acceptance test plans
• At least 4 years of experience in developing test cases in embedded Linux platforms
• Experience in using Automation test tools and Stress test tools
• Strong debugging and analytical skills
• Good collaboration skills
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
