About the position

As a key member of the North American Field Marketing team, you will play a vital role in executing a comprehensive, partner-first marketing strategy. Your focus will be on driving demand and building brand awareness for Liferay, both directly and through strong collaboration with partners, to support the sales pipeline in North America. You will be able to contribute to regional sales growth while gaining the opportunity to advance your career within a high-growth, international, and open-source company.

Responsibilities

  • Support direct business goals by planning executing all field events, including conferences, regional seminars, webinars, and joint partner events.
  • Seek new opportunities to generate demand through third-party vendors.
  • Develop initiatives that resonate with the target audience, ensuring target account engagement and pipeline generation.
  • Work closely with our NA Partner Marketing Manager, identifying opportunities and driving partner marketing activities in order to help our partner ecosystem to generate demand.
  • Work closely with the Corporate Demand Generation team, primarily the Strategic Campaigns and Digital (SEM & SEO) Marketing Specialists.
  • Design, plan, and launch industry campaigns that will drive awareness.
  • Track, measure, and report on the performance of field marketing campaigns and suggest improvements.
  • Analyze market/industry trends to identify opportunities and advise marketing strategies based on best practices.
  • Collaborate with other Liferay marketing teams across the globe to exchange ideas and best practices.
  • Support the execution of Customer events as needed.
  • Assist with the broader field marketing team initiatives as needed.

Requirements

  • Degree in Marketing or Business, or comparable education/experience
  • 2/4 years experience in Field Marketing/Channel Marketing (within IT industry a plus)
  • Experience in managing end-to-end events programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • Experience managing 3rd party providers
  • Familiarity and experience with reporting tools and methodologies.
  • Ability to work within a global organization, collaborating across different cultures, time zones and geographies.
