The Marketing Analytics team plays a vital role in achieving this by combining technical expertise with business insights to optimize marketing strategies and ensure data-driven decision-making. We are seeking a Sr. Marketing Data Analyst to join our team and help us build and maintain the frameworks, tools, and insights needed to drive success across our marketing initiatives. This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The potential home studio for this role is Irvine, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure seamless integration of data from various systems for easy access and usability.
  • Standardize data formats, tagging, and frameworks across teams and systems.
  • Design and maintain scalable data models to support efficient analysis of campaign performance.
  • Build and manage dashboards to visualize campaign performance and audience engagement metrics.
  • Design and maintain centralized data portals as a single source of truth for marketing live ops performance.
  • Identify and bridge gaps between data silos to create a comprehensive view of live ops performance.
  • Generate regular reports on live ops campaign outcomes, focusing on key metrics like reach, engagement, and conversion.
  • Integrate paid media data into live ops reporting to assess the combined impact of organic and paid initiatives.
  • Analyze relationships between live ops activities and business outcomes, such as user acquisition, retention, and revenue generation.
  • Analyze the performance of creative assets used in live ops campaigns to identify high-performing visuals and messaging.

Requirements

  • Analytical orientation and strong problem-solving skills, demonstrated by the ability to structure an approach to issues and analyze alternative solutions.
  • Curious, internally-motivated self-starter with ability to plan, organize, and establish priorities to manage multiple projects and achieve results.
  • Ability to structure a concise, clear presentation of findings, based on large sets of complex data, and effectively present this to any level in the organization with appropriate visualizations.
  • Strong quantitative skills with a penchant for analytical query writing.
  • Demonstrated experience with some or all of the following: data modeling, data visualization, statistics, experimental design, predictive modeling.
  • 2+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Gaming, Management Consulting, Data Science, or Product Management roles.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the gaming industry or working with marketing teams in a digital-first environment.
  • Familiarity with campaign performance metrics and marketing live ops strategies.
  • Advanced knowledge of data integration from various sources, including CRM, web analytics, and paid media platforms.
  • Working knowledge of SQL (BigQuery a plus); experience with at least one visualization tool such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
  • Experience communicating and advocating with analytical insights to high-level audiences to inform decision making.
  • Masters, MBA, or PhD preferred.
