Here, you’ll collaborate to create and implement the digital strategies that enrich the online experience by expanding the assortment with new brands, categories and styles. Your ideas will support Target in complementing the beloved in-store shopping interaction with an expanded, convenient, and elevated digital experience. As the Sr. Manager of Partner Acquisition, your mission will be to identify, recruit and contract new business partners for the Target Plus marketplace. Discovery and identification of new business partners will be directed via close partnership with Target Merchants, and Target Plus Category Managers to unlock new, complementary products and merchandising strategies intended to enhance the Target.com shopping experience. To effectively secure the most meaningful, productive partnerships, you will need to leverage strong strategic, analytic, and communication skills to build long-term internal and external relationships. An understanding of the marketplace landscape and technical requirements through a customer-centric perspective will be critical to succeeding in this role. This is an ideal role for a sales-oriented self-starter who is looking to take ownership in rapidly scaling an emerging business.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, recruit and contract new business partners for the Target Plus marketplace.
  • Collaborate with Target Merchants and Target Plus Category Managers to unlock new products and merchandising strategies.
  • Leverage strategic, analytic, and communication skills to build long-term relationships.
  • Understand the marketplace landscape and technical requirements from a customer-centric perspective.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in digital marketplaces strongly preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in sales and/or business development roles preferred.
  • Extremely strong external communication skills, including sales, negotiations, and relationship building.
  • Expertise in negotiations theory, including facilitating legal, financial and operational contract discussions.
  • Extremely strong communication skills across strategic leadership and cross functional levels.
  • Strong strategic development skills and the ability to create implementation plans.
  • Understanding of digital businesses, including knowledge of digital traffic and conversion.
  • Strong project management skills preferred.
  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience recommended.
