About the position

As a Senior Manager, Product Design at Spectrum, you will lead a product design delivery team focused on systems-thinking and research-driven design. Your role will involve managing a collaborative team to produce exceptional digital products that enhance customer experience, establishing KPIs for products and initiatives, and supporting team members in their professional growth. You will also provide direction for the development of new products and manage contractors and consultants involved in technology projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an innovative and collaborative team to produce exceptional digital products that enhance the customer experience.
  • Establish and evolve KPIs for products and initiatives and performance targets for management of the team.
  • Identify design tooling solutions and product design best practices aligned to design system guidelines.
  • Support team members in gaining confidence and experience with communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
  • Provide direction for the development of new products, technologies, and initiatives.
  • Manage contractors and consultant organizations supporting the delivery of technology projects.
  • Contribute to efficient, high-quality design that considers the diversity and uniqueness of customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Design / HCI / Related Field, or equivalent real-world experience.
  • 5+ years of UX/UI or Product Design management experience.
  • Experience with designing high-fidelity prototypes.
  • Experience with research-driven, iterative product design.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
  • Skilled in making decisions and solving problems under pressure.
  • Capable of supervising and motivating others.
  • Experienced in managing and training cross-functional teams.
  • Adept at prioritizing and organizing tasks effectively.
  • Competent in analyzing and interpreting data.
  • Demonstrated UX/UI design management skills via resume and portfolio.
  • Ability to sketch and generate big-picture ideas for early-stage product design work.

Nice-to-haves

  • Related industry work experience - Cable, Telecommunications, Software/Online Services.
  • Working knowledge of and experience with Figma.
