Responsibilities
- Maintain several SW product lines
- Troubleshoot Operating System issues
- Execute Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) vulnerability management (CVEs) processes
- Coordinate and interface with SW SubProjects, Systems Engineering, the Infrastructure System Administration team, external customers, and multiple E1 site personnel teams
- Work in a dynamic team environment to create and implement well-defined processes
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 Years of relevant experience with Bachelors; 6 Years of relevant experience with Masters; 4 Years of relevant experience with PhD; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelors degree
- Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance at time of application
- 8+ years experience in languages such as C, C++ or Rust
- Experience building software solutions involving hardware integrations
- Advance knowledge of Linux kernel and operating system constructs
- Advanced knowledge of computer networking standards (OSI), concepts, and related protocols (ethernet, IP, TCP, UDP, ARP, and DHCP)
- Familiarity with the Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system
- Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established codebases
- Familiarity with Agile SW methodologies
Nice-to-haves
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance w/CI poly
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- DevOps or Platform Engineering experience
- Proficiency in Python and Perl
- Experience in designing, developing, deploying, and scaling containerized applications (Kubernetes)
- Experience driving architectural, design, and technical aspects of business-critical cloud applications
- Security+ Certification
