About the position

The AWS Global Social Media Team is looking for an experienced social marketer to join our team and support company-wide social marketing motions. This role will be responsible for partnering with a variety of internal subject matter experts and stakeholder teams to develop social marketing strategies, create content, and execute social campaigns. This role will play a vital role in shaping how customers experience and interact with the AWS brand and our services across the AWS social portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Develop social marketing strategies and end-to-end execution of campaigns across the AWS social portfolio.
  • Work with internal subject matter experts to gather requirements, develop campaign concepts, and develop bar raising social content (both high-touch, highly produced and UGC-style) on an ongoing basis aligned to business priorities.
  • Manage recurring meetings across multiple stakeholders to ensure we are creating a thriving social experience for customers aligned to business priorities.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies aligned with business objectives that help shape the perception of the AWS brand and our services.
  • Execute social campaigns standalone and as part of multi-channel advertising efforts.
  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of social media channels, including editorial calendar prioritization, content creation, publishing, and community management.
  • Partner with external media agencies and social media platforms, while seeking out new and emerging social platforms.
  • Actively monitor performance data, define and implement campaign-specific goals, strategies, content requirements, and intended outcomes with internal stakeholder groups.
  • Own the rhythm of a business motions associated with your campaigns, content, and programs.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • 6+ years of experience creating content specifically designed for social platforms
  • 6+ years of developing and formally implementing social media strategies
  • 6+ years of experience working with content creators and influencers at scale

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience creating and executing integrated marketing lead generation campaigns using tactics that include live or virtual events, webinars, email, lead nurture programs, and CRM/sales insights
  • Experience creating technical-focused social media content
  • Experience with AWS products and a deep familiarity with our portfolio of services
  • Experience building, executing, and scaling marketing campaigns and programs
  • Experience leveraging AI tools and software in legacy workstreams
