If so, our team is searching for a Sr Software Engineer to work with other software engineers, network and systems engineers to craft, implement, and deploy software which meet customer's requirements, scales easily, removes the limitations of traditional networking solutions, and supports deployment in highly available environments. Our team actively participates in architecture and design of various software components and is passionate about crafting applications that leverage technologies such as virtualization, micro services, SDN, NFV, and Big Data platforms. We work on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative, understanding implications of work and make recommendations for solutions. Responsibilities

  • Drives engineering projects by developing software solutions; conducting tests and inspections; preparing reports and calculations.
  • Understands system protocols, how systems operate and data flows.
  • Leverage ServiceNow to automate workflows, enhance IT operations, and improve service delivery.
  • Design, implement, and troubleshoot Event Management solutions to support business operations.
  • Manage and optimize Event Management processes to ensure proactive issue resolution with minimal downtime.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Perl or Python to streamline processes and enhance system performance.
  • Analyze and resolve complex technical issues, collaborating across teams to drive continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and innovations in IT infrastructure and telecommunications.
  • Contributes to designs to implement new ideas which use new frameworks to improve an existing or new system/process/service.
  • Review existing designs and processes to highlight more efficient ways to complete existing workload more effectively through industry perspectives.
  • Collaborates with technical teams and applies system expertise to deliver technical solutions.
  • Continuously learns and teaches others existing and new technologies.
  • Contributes to the development of others through mentoring or in house workshops and learning sessions.
  • Contributes to new and existing technology options that support business goals.
  • Writes basic documentation on how technology works. Creates clear documentation for new code and systems used.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other technical subject area.
  • 4+ years of experience in technical engineering.
  • Extensive experience in fault management, including expertise in monitoring and alerting solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow, particularly IT Operations Management (ITOM) and automation workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, cloud solutions, and data centers.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, such as LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, routing, and switching.
  • Proficiency in Perl or Python for automation and system management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solution-focused mindset.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proactive and adaptable approach to challenges, with a continuous improvement mindset.

Nice-to-haves

  • Telecommunications industry experience is a strong plus.
  • ITIL or relevant networking certifications (CCNA, CCNP, etc.) are beneficial.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-availability environment.
