About the position

Join our dynamic radar defense company as a Senior Software Engineer where you'll drive technical excellence and help shape the architecture of mission-critical systems. We're seeking an experienced engineer who can translate complex requirements into elegant, secure solutions while mentoring fellow developers. In this role, you'll make key architectural decisions, champion best practices, and ensure the integrity of our software supply chain, all while embracing our collaborative, ego-free culture that values results over hierarchy. Working at the intersection of cutting-edge radar technology and defense applications, you'll contribute to systems that are evolving from startup-speed to enterprise-grade without sacrificing our ability to move quickly and adapt. Your expertise in secure software development and proven ability to tackle complex technical challenges will be crucial as we partner with major defense contractors and grow our impact in the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Be involved with the design, development, analysis, testing and debugging of computer software applications and/or systems.
  • Be ready to learn about Image and Signal Processing, Real-time, Firmware, Database Design, Operating Systems, and more.
  • Take ownership of the outcome and the journey there: budget, costs, estimated schedules, leadership.
  • Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required.
  • Be a team player and provide technical knowledge and assistance to other engineers, support personnel, and teach others on the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Fluency in C++.
  • Experience or be willing to learn: Matlab, Python, Linux, React, Node, and other languages.
  • Ability to lead a technical group independently.
  • U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
